The VT Alumni Palmetto Chapter provided 14 volunteers to staff a concession stand at the 4/16 home baseball game of the Greenville (SC) Drive (class A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox). The Chapter earned income from the service which will go to the Chapter Scholarship fund, and in addition the visible presence of the group (see picture below) was a reminder to the 3000 fans in attendance that VT Hokies are active in Greenville! Many fans were also aware that 4/16 is a special date for Hokies and came up to express their recognition.
